The 2024 International Business Master's Degree Program Construction Forum at Putian University was held on November 22 at the Zixiao Campus of Putian University.  Huang Pengfei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Putian University, delivered the opening speech and announced the opening of the forum.  The forum was chaired by Lin Hongxi, Party Secretary of the School of Business at Putian University.

In his opening speech, Huang Pengfei stated that as an important bridge connecting the global economy, the rapid development of international business has increased the demand for professional talents.  In the face of new trends and challenges brought by globalization, issues such as how to build a talent training system that meets the requirements of the times, how to strengthen practical teaching and innovation ability, and how to promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research have become common challenges faced by universities.  Putian University has been continuously exploring and innovating in the cultivation of international business talents, aiming to contribute more high-quality, internationally competitive talents to the country and society.

Ke Minghuan, President of the Putian Chamber of Commerce, expressed that international business is a new form of productive force in Putian.  The development of the International Business Master's Degree Program at the School of Business of Putian University will greatly support the city's high-level opening-up and high-quality transformation and upgrading.  He hopes that the university will closely align its academic programs with industry needs, business demands, and market requirements, optimize discipline layout, strengthen the transformation of research results, and accelerate the development of key disciplines and gold-medal programs.  This will contribute to Putian’s goal of becoming a model city for green, high-quality development in the province.

During the opening ceremony, the appointment of MIB Industry Mentors and the awarding of the Graduate Practical Teaching Base were held.  Our company's Managing Director, Louise Huang, was appointed as an industry mentor for the International Business Master's Degree Program at Putian University.  Meanwhile, Xiamen Tri-Translinks Logistics Co., Ltd. was awarded the status of Practical Teaching Base for the International Business Master's Degree Program.  Other individuals appointed as MIB Industry Mentors and Graduate Practical Teaching Base members include Shen Binglong, President of the Putian E-commerce Association, Xie Guosheng, Chairman of the Hanjiang E-commerce Industry Park, and Cheng Libo, Executive Vice President of Shuangchi Industrial, among others.

The forum featured a roundtable discussion, with Professor Cao Liang, a member of the National International Business Professional Degree Graduate Education Steering Committee and a professor and doctoral advisor at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, as the host.  Over 20 experts, scholars, and outstanding entrepreneurs gathered to discuss the theme "Discipline Construction and Talent Cultivation for the International Business Master's Degree Program," sharing their experiences and insights to contribute to the future development of international business education at universities.  Louise Huang, our company's Managing Director, also shared his thoughts on talent cultivation in the context of the constantly changing logistics ecosystem, drawing on his 20 years of experience in the industry.
