According to the China transport production index (CTSI) released by the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of transport recently, in December 2020, the overall transport production will continue to develop steadily, the freight index will remain in the range of rapid growth, and the recovery degree of the passenger index will fall.
In December 2020, China's transportation production index (CTSI) was 168.9 points, a year-on-year decrease of 3.7%, 0.8 percentage point higher than that in November.
In terms of sub structure, the CTSI freight index was 194.1 points, a year-on-year increase of 7.0%, 0.4 percentage points slower than that in November; the CTSI passenger index was 122.0 points, a year-on-year decrease of 25.8%, 1.3 percentage points larger than that in November.
Zhou Jian, deputy director of the research and consulting office and director of the laboratory of the information center of the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of transport, believes that China's transportation production index (CTSI) has continued the steady development trend since September last year, in which the CTSI freight index is still in the fast growth range of about 7% since the fourth quarter, maintaining a positive growth for eight consecutive months;
The recovery degree of CTSI passenger transport index (representing business passenger transport) is closely related to the epidemic situation. Affected by the recent rebound of domestic epidemic and other factors, the public travel has been impacted to a certain extent, resulting in the recovery degree of CTSI passenger transport index falling slightly compared with last November.
