Positive anti-dumping ruling on disposable aluminum containers, pans, trays, and lids in China

On December 20, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced its preliminary affirmative determination in the antidumping (AD) investigation of disposable aluminum containers, pans, trays, and lids from China, with dumping margins of 193.90% for most entities and 287.80% for the China-wide entity. A concurrent countervailing duty (CVD) investigation is also underway.


In accordance with section 733(e)(2)(A) of the Act, the suspension of liquidation shall apply to all unliquidated entries of merchandise from the non-selected companies eligible for a separate rate and the China-wide entity that were entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after the date that is 90 days before the publication of this notice in the Federal Register (October 1, 2024).

Import Statistics (China):2021-2023: Import volumes ranged from ~15.2M to ~25.9M kg, valued at $56.2M to $112.1M.
